My Goals

My Goals

Setting goals is incredibly important. Clearly defining the goals and direction you want to go and the steps to achieve them is much better than just hoping for some positive outcome. It also helps to have clear reasons.

SMART:

1> Building a Company That is Worth 1 Billion USD+ by the end of 2024.
2> 1 Million Youtube Subscribers by the end of 2023.

Breaking these two goals down in April and the next 3 months:

Building a Billion Dollar Company by end of 2024:
Why? Because I’m capable of it. I love business and want to become better at it. I want to achieve what I am capable of, to be financially free.
1> – Launch Global Admissions new platform
2> – Build the team to get 100k programs on our platform
3>ย  – Reach out to Global universities for sales to contact 100+ universities worldwide to get 20 calls with global universities and hire a new person for this outbound team
4> – Growing the core company metrics by 5% each week

1 Million Youtube Subscribers by end of 2023
– Why? Because it’s a huge asset to have an audience. I am capable of it.
1> – I will post 3 videos a week for the rest of April.
– First I will focus on regularity and volume of posting and then work to improve it.

Other activities that will support this growth:
– Growth and Learning – I am taking this self-directed learning program.
– Looking at the meta level – are my activities directed in the best direction? Making sure to prioritise aswell.
– Gym & Exercise – I will work out regularly – 3-4x per week to improve by body and energy.
– Set up future action plan steps for hitting the above goals. Make a more detailed plan looking at these goals going from the end result and working backwards. Eg., 1 billion valuation needs x revenue, which needs x customers. 1 Million subscribers, needs X videos with X viewers per video (on average), and track that over time.

All this stuff is actually quite easy. I just need to make sure to do it.

What might get in the way? How to mitigate those?
– Distractions – other things coming up or distracting energy – phones, activities and others.
– Schedule these activities in to my calendar – in my most productive time – mornings.
– Make sure to manage time well – Get all these done with priority first before doing other stuff – aim to get it done in the first 1 week.

Some kind of reward for achieving these activities in April:
– I don’t really need a reward but I can recognise that I’ve achieved it in some way, and have a day off on the weekend! Or take out my wife or help her in some ways.
