How to Become Ultra Successful

How to Become Ultra Successful

“The mind is everything. What you think, you become.” โ€“ Buddha

Everyone wants to be ultra wealthy and successful. But is it worth it? My belief is that many people play the following equation out in their mind, and their amount of growth settles at where they perceive to be the balance of this equation.

๐Ÿ“ˆ = ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ  – ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ซ

Actual Growth = Perceived Benefits of Growthย  – Perceived Costs of Growth

One of the limits that many people have on growth (money, and success) is that it can be uncomfortable.

More money more problems?

A rise in income is often accompanied with a rise in the number of responsibilities and workload.

I’ve noticed that many people, myself included, if they are already comfortable, may prefer to stay at the same level, consciously or unconsciously, than towards a path that leads to more challenges and discomfort.

It’s important to be consciously aware of this.

The path towards growth is always the right path.

In order to grow, it is necessary to:

  1. Focus on the benefits of the rise in income and opportunities that growth brings, but also
  2. To become comfortable with and to consciously minimise the stress. This can be done by
    1. To become more comfortable with stress – by upgrading thinking and personal skills
    2. To minimise stress with the help of people, processes and systems

A big part of success is about psychology, and how we think about things. It’s important to make feeling like growth is going to be super cool, and fun. If you could choose to be ultra successful without any work or challenge, everyone definitely would, wouldn’t they? This is what many people say with the law of attraction and there is a lot of material about how to focus on what you want to attract it t0 your life. It can be helpful to get super excited about what you want in your life, it can help you overcome bigger barriers to achieve it. By making your desires and dreams bigger, you can achieve and grow more.

The other side of it is to embrace the stress that may accompany that. You are often going to have to change, you are usually going to have more responsibilities and more workload, if your business grows. In order to grow more, it is necessary to minimise the negatives. We can do that by embracing it, by learning techniques to deal with stress, and becoming more comfortable with it. Do 100 sales calls and don’t worry about it, that’s normal. It should be effortless. Don’t strain or stress about it. Just do it like you’re tidying your room. It’s all how you think about it. In some way, to embrace it more, and become more rational with it. At the same time, to build systems and processes to minimise stress and problems. This means that you can grow more and faster.

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” โ€“ Leonardo da Vinci

Embracing Growth Through Mindset Shifts

1. Cultivate a Growth Mindset: Embrace challenges as opportunities for learning and growth. A growth mindset, as popularized by psychologist Carol Dweck, encourages resilience and persistence in the face of setbacks. Consider the story of J.K. Rowling, who faced numerous rejections before “Harry Potter” became a global phenomenon. Her perseverance demonstrates how embracing failure can lead to unprecedented success.

2. Set Clear, Ambitious Goals: Define what success means to you and set goals that challenge you to stretch beyond your current capabilities. Elon Musk’s ambitious goals for SpaceX and Tesla showcase the power of aiming high. His vision for a sustainable future and interplanetary travel has propelled innovative breakthroughs and massive growth.

Strategies for Managing Stress and Overcoming Barriers

3. Develop Stress-Resilience Techniques: Incorporate practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and physical exercise into your daily routine. These techniques can enhance your ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. The CEO of Salesforce, Marc Benioff, attributes meditation and mindfulness as key factors in his leadership and the company’s success.

4. Leverage Your Network and Resources: Building a supportive network and utilizing resources effectively can significantly reduce stress and enhance growth. Oprah Winfrey’s journey is a testament to the power of networking and mentorship. Her ability to connect with people and learn from their experiences played a crucial role in her rise to success.

Examples of Growth in Action

5. Learning from Successful Entrepreneurs: Look to the stories of entrepreneurs who have navigated the path of growth successfully. Richard Branson’s Virgin Group is an example of how diversifying and taking calculated risks can lead to success across multiple industries.

6. Innovation as a Growth Strategy: Companies like Apple have demonstrated how continuous innovation and a commitment to excellence can drive growth. Steve Jobs’s focus on creating user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing products revolutionized the technology industry.
