― Paulo Coelho, Aleph.
Many people have trouble conquering themselves and managing themselves. But I think it’s like you are a wild animal, a wild beast, with huge potential, and you need to learn how to control and manage yourself so you can use your talents and protect against your weaknesses. In some ways, the harder it is to manage your mind, the more powerful you are. It is not a sign of weakness to have trouble controlling your mind, it is a sign of power. It is like a scene in a movie where the main character discovers their huge superpowers, but can’t control it. When we are trying to tame a wild horse. We are the human, the wild horse is ourselves.
It’s like these moments:
- Consume powerful content – garbage in, garbage out. What you put in your mind is extremely important. Don’t be addicted to social media. Surround yourself with quality people.
- Work out what it is you really want. Have inspiring goals that motivates you to the core. What is your reason you want to conquer yourself? To do what?
- Conquer yourself – through meditation, sports, exercise, and goals, and discipline.
- Be open to finding a complementary partner. You don’t need to seek it, it will seek you.
You are capable of much more than you can imagine.
