Writing is so powerful

Writing is telepathy, in the words of Stephen King. I can transfer my thoughts to your mind.

It can influence others, make you wealthy, make you smarter and better, and itโ€™s the foundation for our civilisation. Show a flash from the history to now.

Here are the benefits of writing

  • Writing is so powerful
  • Writing is telepathy, in the words of Stephen King. I can transfer my thoughts to your mind.
  • Powerful writing can motivate people into action, can inspire you, like the “I want you” daring for adventure. It can make you Rich, and Famous, like JK Rowling.
  • It’s a big part of what makes us human, what’s built our society, our culture. Good writing can change the course of history. It’s the basis of our legal, education system, and can build a civilisation, let’s look at the magna carta, or consitution of united states,ย  the balfour declaration, but what about in our own lives?

  • I hated writing as a young person, it felt like work, it was boring, I even had extra handwriting lessons. After university I spent 10 years+ living in China learning the Chinese language and thousands of characters, now I have rediscovered writing in my own native English language

  • Writing persuades, it inspires
    • You can write two different things, and get two different results,
    • People, or the call to arms by Ernest Shakleton: “X”
    • Jobs, opportunities, that covering letter, “CV”
    • Love opportunities, you can write a love letter
    • Influences people look at the bible, the communist manifesto
    • You can stand up for yourself
  • Makes you a better communicator and better able to interface
    • Enriches your vocabulary
    • Make it specific
    • Benjamin Franklin: “How conversation makes him better.”
    • He actually credits writing
  • Helps relieve stress, and do a mind dump and put it all on the page. just imagine sitting in a fireplace, with a coffee, and beautiful rain outside, or in winter, and just writing. Makes you happier

  • Helps to think Think better
    • Circular thinking in your mind, you can analyse them clearly, you can never think a whole book, or a complex letter in one go, but if you put it down on paper, you analyse, read, re-read, write, re-write, you can create something much better than you can think. You can play around with the
    • It makes you think more slowly
    • Think clearly
    • It helps rewire your brain, and remember it

  • Helps you solve problems
    • Solving Problems – analyse problems better. Define the problem. Separate different problems, because often they are entangled
  • Helps you to learn – feynman, and the tool, ask a question, and dig into it, or write something about a topic, and when you analyse it, you learn it better. Learning – ask yourself a question, and see where the answer leads, fynman technique as a way to learn, william brown’s video

  • Goals – write down your thinking on paper, it crystlises it, you need to make it more specific, it’s more likely to become reality.

  • Journal – just try these exercises, and develop as personal growth. Explore.
