Modern masculinity – What does it mean to be a man in 2025?

Having a mission and purpose.

Courage – to go after things.

Self-control and restraint.

Competence – excellent at something.

Continual improvement is the answer to every problem for a man.

Strong.

Emotionally strong.

Responsible.

Reliable – a man’s word is sacred.

I haven’t mentioned women now for a reason. Men are are defined by who they are, and not by their relations with women, which can be a distraction. Having a woman, doesn’t make a man, anymore a man. A man is complete by himself, but a woman can help him to grow and achieve his purpose.

I think a lot of men lose themselves when they chase women. When you focus on your own goals and self improvement, then everything else, such as women, fall into place.

A man provides the structure, security and safety for a woman to be a woman.

A man is not weak.

A man is not anxious, or neurotic.

A man is not aimless.

A man doesn’t ask advice from a woman.

A man is open and loving and positive.

In 2024, I thought that being a modern man is all about self-improvement. In 2025, I believe it is more about inner strength.
