How to be better at business? Simulations

Most of learning in business comes from experience. You encounter a problem, you consider solutions, research options, seek advice, and then take action, you check out the result – did it work or not?

But there is a way to make this process much faster.

Going to business school introduces you to a series of business case simulations. It’s helpful to review a large number of business situations and identify what you would do in this situation. You then discuss with your classmates, and then see other perspectives and learn underlying principles and then you can learn to see what happened in reality.

But you can also do this yourself by:
– Reading Harvard Case Studies Online here.
– Search for free versions online. Eg., here.
