12 Pillars to Cultivate a Beautiful Mindset

12 Pillars to Cultivate a Beautiful Mindset

Startups DO NOT grow beyond the management capability of their founder(s).

As I’ve grown I’ve learnt that success is more and more about your mindset. In some sense, the world you experience is a reflection of your mindset.

I am writing this article in my quest to cultivate the optimum mindset to create the optimum business and have the optimum life. Sharing what I’ve learnt so far.

I believe that building a business is the fastest path to self development. The only limit, is your mind.

I’d like to start by saying that it’s not essential to have a great mindset to succeed, build a business, or achieve certain goals. It can be done by taking actions and doing the right things, hiring great people, and going after a certain goal. It can be achieved with certain drive for power or proving someone wrong, or with what I would call an ugly mindset.

But to build a fulfilling life that is really beautiful and impactful and sustainable, it’s far easier to do it by cultivating a certain beautiful mindset.

I’m talking about a life where you are doing your optimised work, you have everything you ever need, you are living in abundance. The life of your dreams.

What are the aspects of a beautiful mindset? How can it be defined?

A beautiful mindset is a fully optimised computer program. One that operates effortlessly. It is at an advanced level without any bugs. It’s not about creating a certain product that impacts millions. They operate at the highest level in every domain that it is applied. But it’s not just that, it’s the way that they do it, the people they help lift up along the way, the story of their life.

What are the 12 Pillars of a Beautiful Mindset

  1. Vision – having a clear vision you are aligned with and is pulling you forwards.
  2. Energetic – has unlimited energy to deploy. This comes from the direction being aligned to their strengths and purpose, the resolving of any energy leaks.
  3. Motivation – fully motivated and fired up
  4. Health – this in itself is partly a reflection of the mindset, but it is also the core source of energy, and results from having optimum diet, and exercise and sleep
  5. Diet – optimised, personalised diet, this might mean cutting out
  6. Relaxed – operating at 80% without being tense can be more powerful
  7. Expectations – having positive expectation
  8. Positivity – being positive is an essential component of a positive life
  9. Clear Reasoning – ability to reason, think logically. This can be refined by reading, writing, problem solving, and action, and learning.
  10. Emotional stability – control over your emotions, this is power.
  11. Competence – this is really about focus, and using your faculties, and getting better at it.
  12. Focus – practicing it, like a muscle, through meditation, exercise, or use.

As with most things in life. Many of these are interconnected. So by working on one, it impacts others. It’s a good idea to work on the most fundamental first to see the biggest gains, and then working on the others after that. So the core of sleep, diet, and exercise can be the first target, before other things. Reflection is also essential.

What takes away from your mindset? This is a good question. An exercise in inverting the question – what would you do if you wanted to have the worst mindset? Then consider the opposite to that.

  • No sleep,
  • Eat junk,
  • Not workout,
  • Be around negative people,
  • Waste time on social media, and doing pointless things,
  • Focus on problems you have and waste time on those,
  • Jitter around on different things and stop before making progress,
  • Don’t improve your skills – you already know everything, waste,
  • Don’t seek to improve our get better,
  • Don’t get motivated, why bother?
  • Be tense and have an emotional reaction about everything, don’t bother with a vision.
  • Spend the time on social media.
  • Create really bad quality content online, and do lots of it.
  • Isolate yourself.
  • Dwell on stuff.
  • Compare yourself constantly.
  • Forget nature, don’t take breaks, stay indoors all the time.
  • Procastinate and do everything at the last minute
  • Expect everything, don’t be grateful, blow up at people.
  • Question everything and move super slowly
  • Start goals, then give up and do other stuff, keep doing that.
  • Have a messy room and stuff
  • Don’t take care of your clothes

To cultivate a beautiful mindset, we would want to do the opposite of these things.

And as you grow, you will see barriers that come up, these can often be brought back to you – what can you learn from those barriers? It can give clues or guides to upgrade your mindset.

A startup reflects the mindset of the founder, a life reflects how beautiful that mindset is.
